Managing multiple compliance frameworks often means describing the same process more than once. An access review, an inventory process, or an incident response procedure may be relevant to several requirements—each with its own scope and evidence needs.
Datagrasp’s new guided Control Assurance experience brings those requirements into one assessment, helping your team document its work while keeping each framework’s requirements in view.
Start with the frameworks you already selected
Your assessment follows the compliance frameworks assigned in User & Settings. Open Control Assurance and select Start Assessment to move through their current control requirements in a focused, step-by-step view.
Related control requirements can be grouped for a shared response. Requirements that need separate review remain individual, so your assessment still covers the current requirements across your selected frameworks.
For example, several requirements may ask how your organization maintains asset inventories. A shared response lets you describe the process once for the grouped requirements, then record differences in scope and confirm each requirement’s status separately.
Keep the information you need alongside the requirement
The assessment brings together:
- Implementation choices to describe whether a control requirement is implemented, partially implemented, not implemented, or not applicable.
- A shared response to explain your process, ownership, scope, and any differences between related requirements.
- Guidance and existing notes you can read inline or expand into a dedicated reading window, with formatting preserved.
- Evidence controls to review and attach supporting material to the relevant requirement.
Drafts save automatically, so you can pause and return to your assessment. The layout includes your workspace’s logo when available, with a full-screen option for focused review sessions.
Keep framework-specific decisions clear
Sharing a response gives related requirements common context. You still confirm each framework requirement’s status and applicability separately. Where evidence is required, it must be attached before that requirement can be marked Complete.
When you select Save review, Datagrasp applies the displayed requirement decisions and appends your shared response to existing notes. Review progress is tracked separately from compliance completion, so outstanding work remains visible in Control Assurance.
Make your response easier to read
The Fix with AI option can help refine the wording of your shared response. Review the suggestion, check the facts, and choose whether to use it. Accepting suggested wording updates your draft; applying requirement decisions remains a separate review step.
For MSP, MSSP, and vCISO teams, the assessment follows the selected managed client’s workspace and frameworks. Auditors can browse the assessment in read-only mode. The existing control tables remain available for detailed review, filtering, and exports.
Try the new assessment
Sign in to Datagrasp, open Control Assurance, and select Start Assessment. Your selected frameworks determine what appears, so there is no second framework-selection step.
We’d love to hear how the new experience fits your team’s review process. Share your feedback.
